CHILDREN’S MINISTRIES
WE WELCOME AND EMBRACE CHILDREN in the full life of URCC. Children join with us for the first twenty minutes of worship. Following a “prayer for children” they leave for classes. We provide a professionally staffed nursery for infants. Children, pre-K through High School, attend classes using an engaging curriculum led by a team of teachers for each grade. On the first Sunday of the month, children return to worship, joining their families for Holy Communion (Eucharist).

YOUTH MINISTRIES
WE ACCOMPANY OUR YOUTH as they experience and journey through their teen-age years. Confirmation Classes are held every other year for grades 9-12. Our Middle High Group (grades 6-8) meets on the second Sunday of each month and for special, scheduled events. Our Senior High Group (grades 9-12) meets on the second Sunday of each month discussing a selected range of topics. The Senior High program has a tri-fold focus of: content…for development and nurture of Christian character; hands on projects…for service to others; activities…for fun and fellowship with other senior high youth, parents and adults. Every other year the Senior High Group travels to an off-site, weeklong work-camp. Past travels have taken our youth to: Appalachia, Washington D.C., New York City, St. Thomas the Virgin Islands, Tuscon, Arizona, and twice to Dulac, Lousiana. Each Christmas Eve, the Senior Youth lead the “family service” featuring a tableau of the nativity, readings, and candles.
